Tropical Hibiscus Paradise Experience

The Tropical Hibiscus Paradise Experience was a Hawaiian-themed arts project in July 2023, featuring dance, art, and an interactive promenade performance in Lostwithiel. It involved 22 volunteers and promoted sustainability while raising awareness of rising sea levels affecting Hawaii.

Project Wonder Women

In Autumn 2021, Dance Centred ran Wonder Women, a community dance project for women and girls addressing social isolation and mental health. The project, inspired by a local wellbeing gap, offered a safe, supportive space for creative and physical activity through dance in Bugle and Stenalees, with classes and workshops held in schools and community halls.

Compass

Compass was a development programme for professional dancers and movement practitioners. It provided a space to explore, be playful, and stay open and curious. The programme was designed for people with experience and interest in creative movement and improvisation.

Curious Creatures

Curious Creatures, commissioned by the Welcome Back fund in 2022, brought vibrant, playful promenade dance performances to Liskeard, Truro, Bodmin, Lostwithiel, Parade, Sterts, and Upton Cross, inviting audiences to join in the fun. Workshops were also offered to involve local communities in the project.
